These hooks have been made with a stronger silver metal composition and are 900 sterling silver NOT 925. This was done for strength of the hook due to being a larger earring. The body and mini shell castings ARE all 925 silver or brass. If you have metal sensitivity I suggest changing to hooks at home or purchasing a replacement pair on my website here, which I can do for you. Brass can also be switched out for gold plated 925 silver. Please also note that replacement hooks are NOT the same size and vary from original and have a different aesthetic.
