In this 2 part workshop, adult and child will learn to mosaic together with natural materials and create their own mosaic to take home. The children can choose one board from precut ply shapes that have been sealed and painted, as well as have access to a wide range of Heidi’s materials. Finished pieces will also have a wire hanging system fixed.
On Saturday Heidi will talk through the process and basics of her mosaic style before guiding the group through pattern design. Freestyle design is also encouraged and Heidi often helps guide the freestyle minded towards a cohesive outcome. Patterns are then glued to ply and left to set overnight.
Sunday consists of grouting the fixed pattern which is where adult assistance is wholly required. Heidi also then adds the hanging system for finishing.
This workshop is advised for ages 8+ and supervised. Minimum group size is 5 children.
